HEALTH INSURANCE.
A thin cadaverous looking German, about fifty years of age, entered the office of a health insurance company, in Indiana, a few clays ago, and inquired —
" Ish de man in vot inshures de people's belts 1"
The agent answered, "I attend to that business."
" How you aelli" " Different prices," answered tho agent, " three to ten dollars a year. Pay ten dollars a yeai and you get ten dollars a week in case of sickness."
" Veil," said Mynheer, " I van ten dollars vort."
The agent enquired the state of his health.
"Veil, I ish sick all the time, shust out of bed two or three hours a tay, uud te doctor he can't do no noting moi*e good for me."
" If that is the state of your health," returned the agent, " we cannot insure it. We only insure persons who are in the best of health."
At this Mynheer bristled up in great anger.
" You must tink I'se von tarn fool. Vot you tink I come pay ten dollars for insure my helt, yen I vos well?"
