Roebuck is a bay horse, seven years ojd, by Towton, out of Miss Rowe, by Sir Hercules ; dam, Mjss Millar, by Young Wanderer ; Sir Hercules by Cap-a-pie out of Paraguay. - Towion (own brother to the Peer) by Melbourne ; dam, Cinizelli, by Touchstone (vide English Stud Book) imported into New Zealand in 1858. Marchioness, an own sister to Towton, and dam of Fishook, won the Oaks in 1855 ; and the Marquis, a son of Cinizelli, by Stockwell, won the Two Thousand Guinsas in 1862, ran second for the Derby (for which he was first favourite) and won the St. Leger, Good grazing paddocks provided for mares, and every care taken, but no responsibility.
