Rome, October Bth. j The Italian Government demanded an oath of loyalty to tlie King from all the professors in the colleges of Rome. 20 professors refused to take the necessary oath. Two convents have been occupied by the Italian troops. The Italian Government express it as their determination that no professor shall be permitted to exercise his functions as such without taking the oath of allegiance.
