Lord Clyde is a beautiful brown, stands 16 hands 1 inch high, with short legs and superior action, and is perfectly sound and free from all natural blemishes ; he is -also a sure foal-getter. Marchioness, an own sister to Towton, and dam of Fishook, won the Oaks in 1855 ; and the Marquis, a son of Cinizelli, by Stockwell, won the Two Thousand Guineas in 1862, ran second for the Derby (for which he was first favourite) and won the St. Leger, Good grazing paddocks provided for mares, and every care taken, but no responsibility. Terms — £4 ss, groomage included. N.B. — One mare out of every four belonging to a bonafide owner will not be charged for, mo STAND THIS SEASON, AT HAVELOCK, WAITAHUNA, MARKSMAN. Marksman is a beautiful chestnut, rising three years old, by that celebrated horse Morris Dancer ; grand-sire, Alarm ; great grand-sire, Venison. Marksman's dam, by Hambledon, bred by Mr. King in 1838, got by Ishmael ; his dam, Babel, by Interpreter ; granddam, Fair Ellen, by the Wellesley Grey Arabian. Hambledon was imported to Australia in 1841 by Mr. R. Boyd. Terms — £3 ; groom's fee, ss. All fees to be paid ou the Ist February, 1872, otherwise £4 will be charged after that date.
