Uxvnter and party v. Hiddell and party. — Claim, L 5) for damages done to plaintiffs' tail race by and through the water of defendants. "Both parties were examined, when judgment was given for plaintiffs for L 2 and costs.
Three Chinamen were charged by Mr. Blewitt, Chinese Interpreter, with not having miners' rights. They pleaded the usual excuse — being new chums, and poverty. Fined in the sum of 5s and costs, and rights to be taken out forthwith.
