Young Abdallah is out of a thoroughbred mare, imported from Tasmania by John Weir, Esq., of the Western District, Victoria ; is 7 years old, and has proved himself a sure foal getter. He has left some of the most promising stock in the province at the Clutha District. Abdallah (bred b.v Mr. Batson in 1847) was got by The Provost, ont of Barbara ; Barbara was by Plenipotentiary, out of Saffi, who was got by a son of Dick Andrews (Dick Andrews was by Joe Andrews, a son of Eclipse). The dam of Saffi was got by Totteridge (Totteridge was by Dungannon, a son of Eclipse), out of sister to Mariame, by Squirrel, out of Misj Meredith, by Cade (son of tlie GodoJphin Arabian), out />f the Little Hartley Mare. The Little Hartley Mare was by Barlot's Childers (own brother to Flying; Chi lders), out of Large Hartley Mare, whose pedigree in three generations can be traced to a royal mare. The Provost, the sire of Abadallah, was by The Saddler, out of' Kelrecca by Lotery ; her dam by Cervantes, out of Autiception ; mare of her dam by Benninijbrook (Henningbrook by King Fergus, a son of Eclipse.) Terms : £3 on delivery of mares. A 600 acre English grass paddock provided for mares, without responsibility. Mares served last year not in foal will be served free this year. Abdullah's stock in the Clutha District, are turning out the most durable weightcarrying hacks in the province. For futher particulars see Stud Book, or apply to R. Young Blaize is a rich black, rising five years old, stands 17^ hands high, is possessed of immense power, beautiful symmetry, splendid action, and mild temper. He was got by that celebrated horse Lord Clyde, which is known to have been by far the best and biggest liorse ever imported to these shores. Lord Clyde Wcis bred by Air. Brown, Dunsyre. Mains, by Biggar. He gained the second premium, as a three-year-old, at the Highland Agricultural Societ Show at Dumfries in 1860 ; also, a ; prize at Newton Stewart in 1862, w fourteen horses competed, and carriei the East Cumberland Society's pri? Carlisle, in 1863, from twelve compefci -„ -, many of which were prize horses. *ii j sire, is Young Blaiza, the property <•- .w- I Weir, Brown Hill, Cirnwath, \ i<-.s<: , stock is unsurpassed by any ho - Lanarkshire. His grandsire, Mr. T Inglis' far-famed horse John Anders »•* my Joe, gained the prize of £40, in I£l4, at Midcalder, and is sire to a great number of the Highland Society's prize stock. His dam is a pure-bred Clydes--dale Mare, got by that well-known horse Old Watty, belonging to Mr. Climie, of Kilbarchan, She id a rich black,- stands 16| hands high, and has gaiued several prizes at. the Highland Agricultural Society's Show. She was bought in Victoria by Mr. Edward Nicholson for the sum of £250, to go to Van Diemau's Lmd. His granddam, a daughter of Mr. Jackson's, of Stanley Muir, celebrated pure stallion, which obtained the Highland Society's first prize for aged horses at Edinburgh. Lord Clyde is descended from Mr. Fram's, of Broomfield, far-famed breed of horses so wellknown throughout Lanarkshire. His dnm Blossom, by Star, imported from Scotland by Mr. M'l>rt'>sh, of Moonee Ponds. Her dam, a heavy Van Dieman's Land mare, bred l>y the V. D. L. Co. Terms, £4, payable at the end of the Season. Groom's fee, ss, payable at first service. A large paddock, well grassed, will be provided for mares coming from a distance free of charge, and every attention paid, but without responsibility. M.
