EVANS FLAT SCHOOL
(To the Editor.) Sir,— l am instructed by the Evans Flat School Committee to give you the particulars of a meeting held by them on the 29 th. You are aware of their being refused aid by the Government in building a school. FuGling the great want for such a place, they have applied to the Wesleyans for the use of their chapel for the purpose, and that body have kindly granted the use of the same. Having an offer from Mr. Sutherland as school master, they intend commencing on Monday next. As there are several improvements required to make the building suitable for a school, the Committee deem it necessary to raise a small sum for that purpose by voluntary contribution. If you think you can assist by giving publicity to the same, the Committee will ever feel gratified. — I am, &c, J. Dkapper, Secretary. Munros Gully, October 2.
