A terrible collision occurred between the police and Orangemen in Londonderry, consequent upon an attempt to stop the procession in celebration of the anniversary of the seige of the city. The police and military w6re called out to quiet the disturbance. A large number were wounded, and a few were arrested.

A meeting waa held in Hyde Park on August 15th, to protest against thesuppresion of the meeting at Dublin.
