San Francisco August 16th.

Flour is quiet. Oregan, extra, is at 6dols. to 6dols. 40 cents. For local brands quotations ,are 6dols. to Gdols. 25cents ; extra, Gdols. 75 cents, in sacks of lOOlbs each. The wheat market rules firm. Quotations are — For fair and choice kinds, 2dqls. 15 cents, to 2dols. 5 cents, per lOOlbs. The Liverpool market remains at 11 dols. 5 cents per cental. The Barley market is firm. For old the quotatioua are— ldol. 85 cents to 1 dol. 95 cents.

Stocks of all kinds of cured meats are in good supply, with a fair demand. Two new steamers have been placed on Mr. Webb's line to carry freight without transhipment at Honolulu.

At Boston, sales of wool have taken place at 52 dols. 57 cents. New Yohk, August 15th.

Shipments to Australian ports continue moderate. Except in kerosene, in which movements are more active, there is nothing doing. Freight is firmer, owing to the difficulty of getting vessels. Tnree veessels are loading' for Melbourne.

Kerosene is at 30dols. to 30 Vdols, dull unsettled.

Kauri gum is dull. Sales of 85 cases in the London market show a want of animation.

Barley is at former rates. Leather is selling at former prices to £fch advance. Hides are in improved demand at Jth. advance.

Tallow is quiet, and there is a decline in shipments.
