CATHOLIC EDUCATION.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, — In your paper of the 17th inst., you reported a meeting of Roman Catholics on Catholic education, in which one gentleman said "he would rather follow his children to the grave than allow them to attend a school whftre th ir religion was not taught." I am surprised none of your readers have hauled said fanatic over the coals for making such a remark. Might 1, through jour columns, ask that patron of piety, if he approved of his wife's application, which was very recently made, for the office of teacher in one of the3e objectionable schools ? — I am, &c. .
