Thursday. 27th July. Lewis v. Harris. Claim, £50, reduced to bring it within the jurisdiction of the I{.,^i.'s Couft. This action was brought to recover wages afc the rate of L 3 per week from the 2 tth February to the 29th June. Mr. Copland for defendant pleaded not indebted, wages only due at the rate of 30s per week according to agreement with plaintiff. Also, that defendant had a judgment against the plaintiff for L 35 Is 3d.
David Lewis, sworn, signally failed to prove that his agreement with Harris was f<>r more than 30s per week.
Judgment for L2B to go as set-off against defendant's judgments of 1.35 Is 3d.
Monday, 31st July. (Before the same Magistrate.) Thomas King wa3 informed against for indecent exposure on Sunday afternoon. Prisoner pleaded guilty, and had nothing to say in his defence. {Sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment with hard labour.
