Messrs Weight Stephenbon, and Co., report, for the week ending 6th May as follows :—: — Fat Tattle. — There was rather a full supply this week. We yarded a draft of 28 head of middling to sjood quality, which brought prices equal to 17s 6d per 1001 b. We have sold for immediate delivery 50 head at 17s 6d per 1001 >> ; and for forward delivery, 25 head at 20s per 1001 b. We quote really xirime oua'ity at 18s to 20s per 1001 b ; middling ditto, 15s to 17s. Fat Sheep. — About 3400 were penned, consisting chiefly of wethers. Thetnde took about 1000, and the Meat Preserving Compa'ip 2000, the balance being turned out. We sold 200 sat ewes at 4s. each, and 400 fat wethers at 6s 3d each. We quote prime quality mutton lfd per lb ; middling ditto is worth little over store rates. Fat Lambs. — We sold a small lot at 7s. 6d. each, at about which price there is a fair demand. Store Cattle. — At present the enquiry is very limited, but we anticipate towards spring there will be a more active demand for good crown c-ittli We qnofo 3to 5 year old bulJo.-'i-s L 3 l/ ij to L 4 each ; mixed lots, L 2 ss. to L 2 10s. We quote half-bred wethers, 2 ,-md 4-tooth, at ss. 6d. to 0s ; ditto mixed Limbs. 5s ; merino wethtvs, 4, 6, and 8-tooth 4s. 6d ; diHo fullmouthed ewes, 3s ; ditto mixed Lvnbs, 3s. tid. to 3s. 9d. each. Country Sales. -On Tuesday, the ?id instant, we held a sale of dairy cw^ in,.! voting stock at Mr Win. Duff's farm. Waihola. There was a very poor attendance of buyers, and little animation in the biddings, yet. the whole lot. consisting of about 330 head, found purchasers at the following prices: — 2 and 3-year old bullocks, £3 2s. 6-1. each; yearlings, 27s 6d. to 31s ; milch cows, £2 10s.' to £5 10s. On Wednr-sd.iy. the 3rd instant, we held our monthly at Mos^eil ; a large number of stick were yarded, and there was a fair muster of buyers. We sold G8 head fat catMe at prices equal to 17*. 6d. per lOOlbi ; 36 hfvid stores, at L22s. 6d. to £3 10=. each ; 1000 broken-monthed ewe 3at Irf. each ; a number of horses of a veiy inferior stamp at £2 ss. to £8 each. Horses. — The market is very bare of gO(»d draught stock, for which the demand is active. Li^lit stock is littla enquired for. We quote first-class draughts, at £40 to £45 ; middling do, £27 to £33 ; nrst-c'ass saddle* and light harness horses, £18 to £20 ; mifldling do, £10 to £14 ; inferior, £3 to £5. Grain. — Wheat continues firm, at 4s. 9d. or alittle over, for prime samples, Oats are without change. Barley — prime malting — is worth 33. Bd. to 3s lOd ; inferior qualities unnoticed.
