Mr. Aechibald Moie, Manse-street, reports the lollovving as the latest quotations :—: — Flour— £ll to £11 10* per ton. Oatmeal — £15 to £15 lOsper ton. Pearl Barley — £20 per ton. Bran — £4 per ton. Pollm rd — £J< per lon. CLaff— £4 per ton. 11-y — £4 per ton. New Potatoes — £3 10s per ton. Carrots — I' 3. Turnips— None. Wheat— 4s to 4s 3d per bu«hel. Barley — 2s 9d to 3s 3d per bushel. Dais — 2a 4d to 2s Gd per bushel. Butler— 7.l to 9a peilb. Cheese— Gil to 8d p'-r lb. Bacou and Hani* 9J per lb.
Messrs. Weight, Stephknson, and Co. report, for the week ending 15th April, as follows : —
Fat Cattle. — The supply was about equal to trade requirements. We sold privately 22 head at prices equal to 17s. 6d per lOOlbs., and 18 head were yarded which fetched about same rate. Prime quality is worth 18s. to 20«. per lOOlbs.
Fat Sheep. — About 2500 were yarded. Of these 1500 were taken by the Meat Preserving Company, 500 by the butchers, and the remainder were turned out. Half-breda brought Bs. 3d. ; merino wethers, 6s. 6d. each. We quote prime quality half-breds, 2d. per lb. ; ditto merino, l|d. ; middling quality, l|d. Fat Lambs. About 40 were penned, and sold readily at Bs. each.
Store Cattle. — We sold at the weekly market 55 head, principally broken stock, but aged at from 375. 6d. to 655. each.
Store Sheep. — The enquiry is still active, but holders are backward in offering this class of slock. We sold 1500 full-mouthed ewes at 2s. 9d. each, and 1500 do. at 3s. ; also, 2000 2-tooth wethei'3 and ewes at 3s. 9d. We quote half-breds, 2 and 4-tooth, ss. 6d to 6s. each ; do. mixed lambs, 4s. 6d. to ss. ; merino wethors, 4, 6, and 8-tooth, 4s. 6d. ; do. ewes, 4 and 6-tooth, 4s. 6d. ; fullmouthed, 2s. 9d. to 3s. ; mixed lambs, 3s. 6d. each.
Horses. — There is a good demand for. young stock and upstanding saddle and light harness horses. We sold on account of Mr. Wm. Sawyers a small mob of heavy draught 2-year old colts, provincial bred, at from £31 to £41 each. We quote first-class draughts, £40 to £45 ; middling do., £25 to £30 ; first-class saddle and light harness horses, £15 to £20; middling do., £10 to £12; light and infeiror, £4 to £7-
Grain. — Wheat : - good samples are wanted, and saleable at 4s. 6d. to 4s. 9d per bushel. Oats are in demand at, for feed, 2s. 4d., milling, 2s. 6d. per bushel. Barley suitable for malting is worth 3s. 3d. to 3s. 9d. per bushel.
