Country R.iles. —We held a sale at Mr Stevensou's farm, Hiveiside. West Taieri. on the 22nd instant. There was a large attendance of buyers, and the bidding for all classes of stock was goo 1. 60 bea 1 dairy f.ows, brought from L 4 to LlO e-ich ; fat catt'e. from l")s. to 17s. (5 1. per 100 bs ; yearlings, from 2">s to 37s 61. each ; draught mares, L3B to L 39 ; ditto yearlings, Ll6 to L 23 ; ditto foals, Ll3 to MG JO* ; fat wethers S3. endi ; fanning implements and dairy plant at satisfactory rates.
H orses —Our market continues over supplied with infeiior stock. We sold a. sbipuieut ex Wanganui, from Wellington, consisting of medium coach Lorses, at from L 6 to LlGeach ; aid offered a large number of racing stock, but the only one that found a purchaser was Mr. Webb's 2-year old tilly "Swindle, ' which was knocked down to Mr. George Coomb at LI 10. We quote first class draughts, L4O to 1.4") ; middling do. 1,22 to L3O ; first class saddle and light • harness horses, Lls to L2O ; middling do, LlO to Ll4 ; inferior, L 4 to L 7.
Grain.- Whei*-— Good bamplos of new commands from 4s. to 4s. 31. per bushel, afc which riites the millers are being supplied. Oats are saleable at 2s 3d. for feed, and 2<. sd. to 2s. 6d. for milling samples. Barley.— The crop is very superior in colour and qua* ity this season. Really good malting samples would fetch from 3s. to 3=. 6 1.
