Invercargill, March 28th. The brig Hindoo, Captain Sondbdrg, from Foo-Uhow to Dunedin, came ashore on the Kiverton beach, inside the halfpassage rocks, yesterday morning at 3 o'clock. All hands — 15 in number — were saved, by the aid of the Maones, at low water, together with personal effects and some stores. The vessel lies 150 yards from the beach at low water, embedded in sand. It is not known how the carg> will turn out, but it is supposed that a considerable portion is in good condition It is not likely the vessel will be got off, the shore being flat for a long way oat with heavy breakers. The foremast of the vessel is standing ; the mainmast went over the side soon after striking. A survey was held to-day by Captain i'homson, the Harbour Master, and Captain "Worsp, of the Phoebe, but the result is not yet known.
