Entrance, £2 2s. PUBLICAN'S PURSE of 30 soys. Distance, 1 mile heats. Weight for age. Entrance, £2 2s, MINER'S PURSE of 15 soys., for all horses the property of working miners, and untrained, that have never won an advertised race of more than £10. Mile heats. Post entry. Entrance, 20s. LADIES' PURSE.— A Sweepstakes of 1 soy., with 20 soys. added. Welter weights. Gentlemen riders. Distance, 2 miles. Entrance, £2 2s. SECOND DAY. HACK RACE of 10 soys. Distance l£ miles. Entrance, 10s. No weight under 9st. Post entry. , SWITZERS JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP. — A Sweepstakes of 3 soys. each, with 50 aovs. added ; second horse to save his stake. Nominations, etc., etc., enclosing £2 2s, will be received by the Secretary up to 27th February, 1871. Weights will be declared at 10 p.m. on night of first day's racing. Acceptances, enclosing £2 2s and sweep (3 soys.) to be received by the Secretary not later than 10 a.m. on morning of the race. Distance, l£ mile. HURDLE STEEPLECHASE.— Sweepstakes of 1 soy. each, with 30 soys. added, for all horses, over 12 flight pf hurdles, 3ft. 6in. high. Weight for age. Distance, 3 miles. Entrance, £2 2s, CONSOLATION STAKES, of 20 soys., • f for all horses beaten during the meeting. Weight for age. Distance, l£ mile. Post entry. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. The Otago Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. No entries will be received for any of the above races, except upon these conditions : — That all disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing, shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. All entries and nominations to be addressed to the Secretary, Crown Hotel, Switzers. Entrance money enclosed, together with name, age, and pedigree (if any), name of owner, and colours of rider, on night of general entry. No nominations, acceptances, or entrances will on any pretence be received after the hours and dates specified. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in the programme, post entry races excepted, unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of not less than 3 guineas to the Raoe Fund. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered, w}}J be fined £2.
