On Monday, at 5 o'clock, Vr. Macmrlrew addressed some 70 or 80 persons in Oocrhill's AssomMy Room. He was listened to pationtly, and after heiiv.> severely taken to -task with retire! to his actions in connection with the Waitahuna petition of agricultural lease holders, the Hundreds Ro filiations Act, and other questions, Mr Heith proposed a vote of crmtidence, but Mr Uftc-uidrKiv, being very doubtful of the result, said he would frel satiiljorl with a vote of thanks, and desired Mr H^aih if he pleased to alter the motion accordingly. Mr Heath willingly acceded to the candidate's suggestion, and a vote of thanks was consequently carried.
