(Mackay) 0 0 2 Pollock's Raven, Pnuce's Flora, Williams's Dick, and Walker's Tomboy, abo ran. Tomboy bolted off the course near the coal-pit. The second heat was one of tho finest races wo have seen, and resulted in a dead heat between Lyndon and Tiger. In the third heat, Lyndon showed his superior bi*eed, and won the race, hands down. Handicap Trotting Race, of 15 soys ; thi'ee miles. Williams' g g M;igic (scratch) . . 1 Smith's b g Rattler (250 yards) . . 2 Ciirlaw's h g Joe Cope (300 yards) . 0 's Jessie also ran (325 yards.) This wa3 a beautiful race, and gave much satisfaction, Rattler aud Joe Cope both trotted well. The lirst round Magic gained veiY little on Rattler, but, on getting warm, he stepped out beautifully, and passed the mare and the other horses in turn, and won at his will.

Thus was brought to a close flatipfactorily the Tuapeka Race Meeting.
