MR. REID AT WETFIERSTONES
On Monday evening, about 8 o't.-io-;k. Mr. Reid addressed a large meeting in the schoolhouse. Wetherstones. Mr. M'Swiney occupied the chair. The sufcstance of Mr." -Reid's address will be found in our report of his Waitahuna and Lawrence meetings. During its delivery Mr. Reid was frequently applauded, and at its close, a vote of confidence was proposed by Mr. Kofoed, seconded by Mr. William Gascoigner, and unanimously adopted.
The following gentlemen were elected a committee to take steps to ensure Mr. Keid'a return — viz., Messrs. M'Oluskoy, Wm. Gascoigne, Sutherland, M'Swiney, Mackney, Bowes, Firth, Goldsmith, and Wheelan.
