DISTRICT HANDICAP, of 80 sovg, with a sweepstake of 2 guineas each ; the second horse to receive amount accruing from sweep. Nominations, with 2 guineas enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 10 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 10th day of January. Weights to be declared in the " Tuapeka Times " of 12th January, and in the "Daily Times" of 14th January. Acceptances, with 2 guineas, together with sweepstake of 2 guineas, to be received by tho Secretary before 10 o'clock p.m. on Monday, January ! 16, 1871. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 40 soys. ; distance, two and a half miles; over nine flight of hurdles, three and a half feet high ; entrance, 2 guineas. FLYING HANDIGAP of 50 soys. Nominations, with one guinea enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 10 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, January }Oth. PONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 15 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; distance, one and a half mile; entrance, 1 soy. BULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and Geldings allowed 31b. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the Programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races exeepted) unless tho latter bo qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, Peel-street, Lawrence, up to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, 18th January. Entrance money, enclosod with name, 1 age, and pedigree (If any) of the horse, anq\ name of ov/uer and colours of the • jpider. Any Jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined £2.
