Entire Horses. mO STAND THIS SEASON, AT WAITAHUNA. Thorough n^Zf Entire MARKSMAN. Marksman is a beautiful chesmit, by the celebrated horse Morris Dancer. Grand sire, Alarm ; great-grand sire, Venison. Marksman's dam by Hambleton, imported from England to Victoria. Marksman will serve a limited number of mares. Terms : — £3 ; Groom's Fee, ss. MARK DALE, Proprietor. YOUNG WALLACE, TXTILL Travel this season in the TuaVV peka District, between Evans Flat, Clarks Flat, and the Beaumont. YouNa Wallace is a bright bay, rising five years old, stands 16^ hands high, lias superior bone, good action, and a kind temper. Young Wallace is by Sir William Wallace, imported from Scotland by Mr. R. Miller, and out of a pure-bred Clydesdale mare of Mr. R. Sutherland's. Terms : — £3, payable at the end of the season ; Groom's Fee, 55., payable at first service. A clover paddock for mares with yonng foals. Paddock of 50 acres provided for mares, free of charge. HEATHER JOCK, (Late BrsiNG Star), WILL Travel this season in the Districts of Moa Flat and Mount Benger. Heather Jock is a beautiful dark bay I horse, 17 hands high, of immense bone, fine symmetry, and superior action ; was got by the far-famed horse Reformer, imported by C. Rossiter, Esq., Cranbourne, and out of the celebrated mare, Flora, the property of J. Johnstone, Esq., Whitlesea, Victoria. Heather Jock has taken first and second prizes as a colt of 1, 2, and 3 years old in Victoria. Sire, Reformer, who gained the Highland Society's first prize at Perth, in 3 852 ; as a yearling in 1856, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmer's Society's first prize, beating Clyde (Mr. J. Wilson's) and four other imported sires ; in 1857, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmer's Society's first prize, beating Clyde and 25 others ; at the same meeting won the champion cup, value £30, as the most perfect animal exhibited. He has also taken a number of local prizes, and his stock have been successful as prize takers. Dam, Flora, got by the renowned horse Prince Charlie, imported by the Messrs. M'lntosh, Glenroy, out of a pure-bred V.D.L. mare bred by R. Q. Kermode, Mona Vale. Flora took firstjprize at Whitlesea two years in succesion ; Ist at Kilmore, and 2nd at Heidelberg in 1861. Terms : — £4, payable on or before Ist February, 1871 ; Groom's Fee, 55., payable at first service. Guarantees as per agreement. WILLTAM DRAPER, Proprietor, Waitahuna. THE CLYDESDALE STALLION YOUNG EMPEPOR, The property of Robt. Patrick, Spylaw, Will Travel in the MOUNT BENGER DISTRICT This Season. Young Emperor is by Emperor, out of an imported Clydesdale mare, the property of James Patterson, Esq., M.L.C., Lovells Flat. He is a light bay, rising three years old, is perfectly quiet, has fine action, superior bone, and great muscular power, and took the first prize at the Tokomairiro Show as a yearling. Emperor, the sire of YoxTNa Emperor, is out of Nancy, bred by Alexander Findlay, Esq., Sandyhills, near Glasgow. Nancy was got by the celebrated Garvary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman, the property of James Kirkwoods, Kilmaurs. Nancy was first shown as a three year old, and got first prize at Hamilton, first at Bailleston, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was next shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. His sire is the well known imported horse Napoleon, whose stock is not excelled in the province. Emperor is of great strength, and compactly built. He lias proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock is of a sitperior description. Emperor was shown at Dunedin when a two-year-old, when he received second prize as the best horse of any age, his sire being first ; and first prize for the best two-year-old. He has also been shown at Oamaru and West Taieri, and each time a successful competitor. Terms :— £3 ; Groomage, ss. Groom's fee payable at first service, and all demands payable to the Groom on or before the Ist February, 1871, when the season ends.
