Rossiter, Esq., Cranbourne, and out of the celebrated mare, Flora, the property of J. Johnstone, Esq., Whitlesea, Victoria. j Heather Jock has taken first and second prizes as a colt of 1, 2, and 3 years old in Victoria. Sire, Reformer, who gained the Highland Society's first prize at Perth in 1 852 ;a3 a yearling in 1856, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmer's Society's first prize, beating Clyde (Mr. J. Wilson's) and four other imported sires ; in 1857, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmer's Society's first prize, beating Clyde aud 25 others ; at the same meeting won the champion cup, value £30, as the most perfect animal exhibited. He has also taken a number of local prizes, and his stock have been successful as prize takers. Dam, Flora, got by the renowned horse Prince Charlie, imported by the Messrs. M'lntosh, Glenroy, out of a pure-bred V.D.L. mare bred by R. Q. Kermode, Mona Vale. Flora took first, prize at Whitlesea two years in succesion ; Ist at Kilmore, and 2nd at Heidelberg in 1861.
