WAIPORI PROGRESS COMMITTEE.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) Sir, — It appears to me that the Progress Committee of Waipori do not seem to understand the great want of a bridge across the Lammerlaw Creek at Butcher's Point, which work has been promised to be done two or three times by the said Progress Committee, and yet is neglected. They either must have too much business on hand in the township, or they do not Bee the necessity of throwing a bridge across that part of the river, where there is nearly as much traffic as the lower Lammerlaw ; but I suppose they will not construct one till some one has lost his life, or hurt himself seriously.—l am, &c, A Besident. Butcher's Point, Sept. 5, 1870,
