STOCK REPORT.

Messrs Driver, Maclean & Co. report — Prime Beef, 253 per JOOlbs. Prime Mutton, lfd to 2d per lb. Store. Cattle— Mixed mobs, £3 to L 3 10s ; do. bullocks, two to four years, L 4 to L 5. Good Dairy Cows, £8 to Ll2. Store Sheep- Ewes, 2, 4, and 6 tooth, 4s to 5s each ; wethers, 4, 6, and 8 tooth, 4s 6d. Messrs, Wbight, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending 16th July, as follows :-— Fat Cuttle. — The number in has been slightly in excess of requirements. 75 head were yarded, and fetched, for first quality, 18s. to 20s. per lOOlbs. ; middling ditto, 15s. to 17s. 6d. merinos and half-breds came to hand, which realised Bs. 3d. to Bs. 6d. per head. We quote prime half-bred wethers 2^d. to 2|d. per lb. ; merino ditto, 2£d. to 2£d. Store Cattle. — No transactions. Store Sheep. — There is a good enquiry, especially for half-breds ; but holders limit check transactions. Horses.— We yarded a draft of 30 head of light and inferior animals ex Airedale, from Wellington, which we qitted at from £4 10s. to £12 each. Good draught horses are in request, at from £35 to £45; middling ditto, £25 to £30. First-class hacks and light harness horses are worth £15 to £20 ; inferior ditto are dull of sale at £5 to £10. Grain — Oats are in fair demand at 2s. 6d. to 2s. 7d. per bushel, at which rates we have placed about 500 bags. Barley, inactive. For wheat there is a little more enquiry, at 3s. 9d. to 4s. for new crop, and 4s. 3d. for old.
