(Before W. L. Simpson, Esq., 8.. M. and H. Bastings, Esq., J.P.) Thursday, July 7. Herbert and Co. v. J. North. — Claim, £3, being amount of rent for premises at Tuapeka Mouth. Plaintiff non-suited. A. Mitchell v. M'Kimmie. — Claim, £5, damage done by M'Kimmie's pigs. Verdict for plaintiff for £2 and costs of Court. Inspector of Sheep v. W. Miller. — Mr. Copland appeared for defendant, and asked for an adjournment for one week. The plaintiff having no objection, the request was granted. Saturday, July 9. A man of the name of Miller, who was apprehended up-country on a charge of being principally concerned in a late robbery at Waikouaiti, was brought before the Bench. He was remanded to Dunedin under the charge of Constable Henderson for identification. Monday, July 11. (Before W. L. Simpson, Esq., R.M.) M* Heath v. Treeweek. — No appearance of defendant. Claim, £6 2s, for goods supplied Mrs. Treeweek. Verdict for amount claimed with costs, failing payment, distress. Inspector of Slaughter Yards v. S. Cowap.. — Defendant was charged with having slaughtered one bullock without giving the statutary notice. Fined, in the lowest amount, £5 and costs. Herbert and Co. v. J. North. — Claim, £3, for use and occupation of premises at Tuapeka Mouth. Judgment reserved.
