(Before W. L. Simpson, Esq., R.M., J. F. Herbert, Esq., J.P., and Aiex. Stewart, Esq., J.P. Thursday, June 2. Inspector of Nuisances v. Granger Clark. — Allowing horse to stray within the Municipal boundary. Fined 10s. and costs. Same v. G. Harvey and W. Cook. — Charged with mining within the Municipality, and leaving the holes unfilled. As the holes were filled since service of summons they were discharged with a caution. M'Beath v. H. Simpsom.— Claim of £1 13s. 9d. No appearance of defendant. Verdict for amount, with costs. Same v. Joseph Gibb. — As the summons was not personally served, fresh summons issued and special permission granted to serve summons at his residence .
