CHEAP MEAT,

(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) Sir, — One of those individuals known over here as the " Woolleys," made a large purchase last Saturday evening from the cheap butcher who visits the place. The purchase was a fore-quarter of mutton, at the extremely moderate, price of Is Gd. The person referred to had the conscience to ask the butcher for a head and pluck to the bargain, which was generously given him. Taking advantage of this generosity, he told the liberal butcher that hu dog had nothing to eat the week before, and the butcher at once gave the poor man another head and pluck, and all for Is Gd ! Where is the butcher's profit I should like to. know ?— I am, &c, Live Jlso Let Live. Welherstoncs, May 23, 1870.
