AMERICA.
The States of Georgia and Texas have been readmitted into the Union.
Several of the State Legislatures have rejected the proposal for female suffrage. Revely, a negro, has been admitted into the Senate, to the seat formerly occupied by Mr, Jefferson Davis. The Congressional enquiry into the gold ring abuses has led to the complete exoneration of General Grant. Meehan, the President of the Fenian Senate, has been shot by an ex-secretary of the brotherhood.
