I On Tuesdayevening the second monthly meeting of the Committee of the above ; institution wag held in the Assembly Rooms, I There were present— Messrs. Simpson, j Farrer, Keen, Abel, Smith, Harrop, [ Thompson, M'Swiney, Dr. Halley, and the Secretary, Mr. Hayes. In the absence of Mr. Bastings, President, it wa3 moved and seconded that Mr. Simpson take the chair. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. There waa no correspondence. Mr. Keen was elected a member of the visiting committee in place of Mr. M'Beath, who retires by rotation. Mr. Farrer said steps ought to betaken at once to renew the piles under one of the wards, as the floor was giving way. j Moved that it be seen to. An account from the Athenaeum forj patients subscriptions, £5. for one year ' was received. ! Moved th«-\t it be referred to the Finance Committee. Dr. Halley complained of the rotten state of the steps, saving it might prove very dangerous to some of the patients ; there was one step in particular, which Dr Stewart that day had told him not to step on as it would break. Moved and seconded that the visiting committee look to it at once. ° Mr. Harrop aaked the Chairman if all the subscriptions for 1869 were got in. The Secretary said all but one or two, Mr. Smith stated on perusing the pamphlet for 1869, he could not find Mr, M'Cluskey's name or that of Mr. Myers in it. The Secretary was instructed to enquire into, the matter. Mr. M'Cluskey's lists for 1868 and 1869 had not been sent in. The Secretary was instructed to advise him. of the same. Mr. Harrop proposed that, the Secretary get the lists for this year ready by next monthly meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Smith.
