BOARD OF WARDENS
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.)
Sir, — In your report of the meeting of the Board of Wardens last week, Mr. Robertson is reported to have said, "That he had no hesitation in saying that Mr. M* Alpine had twice the number included in that application," meaning my application for a run for fourteen head of cattle.
Will Mr. Robertson be so good as inform the public on what grounds he made that assertion. If he had authority for his assertion, no one can blame him ; if not, I can only think of him as playing fast and loose with his neighbour's reputation. — I am, &c, D. J. M 'Alpine.
