Messrs Driver, Maclean & Co. report — Prime Beef, 25s per 3001bs. Prime Mutton, l|d to 2d per lb. Store Cattle—Mixed mobs, £4 to £4 10s ; do. bullocks, two to four years, £5 to £6. Good Dairy Cows, £8 to £12. Store Sheep- Ewes, 2, 4, and 6 tooth, 5s to 5s 6d each ; wethers, 4, 6, and 8 tooth, 4s Gd. Messrs.- Weight, Stephenson and Co. report for tho week ending the sth inst., as follows : — Fat Cattle, — One draft, fair quality, yarded ; sold at prices equal to our recent quotations — say, for prime quality beef, 25s ; middliug, 20a to 22s 6d per lOOlbs. Fat Sheep. — A moderate supply of middling to good quality. We sold one draft, very prime half-bred ewes and wethers, at from 83 9J. to 10s each, and quote good mutton l£d to l£d per lb. Fat Lambs. — Our sales have been 150 head at an average of 5s each." Store Stock. — We have no alteration to report in tins market since our last. Country Sales. — On the Ist inst,, at the farm . of Mr. Dixon, Waihola Gorge— Fat bullocks brought L 7 each ; steers, L 4 7s 6d ; dairy cows, L 4 17s 6d to L 7. Pigs— Store, L 2 each. Horses —Draught, Ll6 10s to L 46 ; hacks, L 7 10a to Lll 10s. Waggons, drays, reaping machines, and other implements brought satisfactory rates. Horses. — We yarded on Saturday 17 head ex Lord Ashley, from Wanganui, principally light draught, coachers, and hacks ; they averaged LI 3 lls. Quotations — First-jclass heavy draught, for which there are enquiries, lA4i to LSO 5 medium do., L2B to L 37;3 7; inferior, Lls to L 22 ; good hacks and light harness horses, L2O to L 25;2 5; useful, LlO to Ll6 ; inferior, L 2 5s and upwards.
