It is not uncommon for those whose interests are bound up in pastoral pursuits to iterate and reiterate old and worn-out arguments in their attempts to demonstrate that New Zealand can never be anything else than a wool-producing country. The large extent of broken country which presents itself to the eye of every pne who, travels over this colony would almost lead to an acquiescence in the arguments put forward.
