Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and, Co. report for the week ending the 20th inst. as follows : — Fat cattle— Market well supplied ; two lots sold privately havin,g come forward ; none have been yarded. We sold privately for delivery 25 head, at 30s per lOO^bs, at •which figure we quote prime beef ; middling, 255. To-day we yard 30 head, extraordinarily fine quality and heavy weights— paddock, foei — from Messrs Maitland Bras 'a station. Fat Sheep — There was a considerable reduction in the supply this week; any good lon coining forward "ill sell readily at 3d pui- Ib. in wool; 2d to 2£d' shorn. Wo sold for dehvory , 600 eives, af'2£d ; 400 wrtliers, at 5d per lb in wool ; td*o 300 owes and 300 wei hers in ono lot. shorn at 2d per lb. Fafc lmnba, in demand ; we Bold ut nucfion, 50 good ;it f-om 9$ to Hs, each ; 30 middling, 6s 6d to 7s 6d ; and piivately, 380 to bt> delivered, nt 7s to 9s. Store Stock — Wo have several good lots of store cattle for aalc, bat there are very few enquiries. We can pl>\ce from 8000 to 10,000 store Merino wethers and half, breds in wool, but holders are not deposed to sell uutil after skvaring. We quote Merino wethers, Gd fid to 6? Del ; half-breds, 2 and 4tooth, 7s 6J to 83 Horses— There is no improvement to be noted. We held two sales, and disposed of a largo number of inferior animals at their full valuo. Quotations : Heavy draught, L4O to LSO ; medium do. L 25 io li3'd ; first-dbiss hacks and light, harness horses, L 25 to L3O ; useful do, Ll2 to LlB ; inferior, L 2 103 and upwards.
