Monday, October 25. (Before W. L. Simpson, Esq., R.M., and Alox. Stewart, Esq., J.F.) Inspector of Nuisauccs v. Brunton. — Brunton was charged with allowing cattle, his property, to trespass within the boundary of the Municipality. Fined ss. and costs of Court. Clarke v. Hunter. — Plaintiff claimed £10 25., being amount of wages due him as farm servant. Defendant had a contra account to the amount claimed for nobblers. The Court would not recognize the contra account. Verdict for £8 Bs. and costs of Court. Police v. Doeh:rty. — For assaulting; a Chinaman, and remanded to Waita lhuna. The cass having been beard the defendant Docherty was fined in the sum of £10 or one months, imprisonment. The fine was paid. Thursday, Oct. 28. (Before W. L. Simpaon, Esq., R.M.) M'Coll v. Aimers.— Claim, £22. Value of account. Verdict for amount claimed with costs and expenses.
