STOCK REPORT.

Messrs Driver, Maclean & Co. reportPrime Beef, 25s 6d to 35s 6d per lOOlbs. Prime Mutton, 2|d to 3d per lb., in ■town. Store. Cattle— Mixed mobs, £4 103 to £4 los ; do. bullocks, two to four yeaxs, £5 to £6. Good Dairy Cows, £10 to £14. Store Sheep- Ewes, 2, 4, and G tooth, 7s 6d to 8s each ; ' wethers, 4, 6, and 8 tooth, 6s 6d to 7s ; weaners, equal sexes, 10s 6d per pair. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report, for the week ending the 9th inst., as follows:— Far Cattle -One draft, prime quality, yarded, brought fully 20s per 100 lbs ; •we sold privately 30 head at 30s, delivered in town, which is the value of prime beef ; middling, 255; Fat sheep— -We sold by auction 700 middling quality from 8s to 10s each ; and privately, 1000 at 3d per lb, delivered in town, which is the quotation for "prime mutton. Store cattle— We sold by auction, at Otakia and Waikouaiti, bullocks, two years and upwards, from L4 15s to L4 7s 6d ; mixed, from six months to two years, from L2 10s to L3 5s ; dairy cows, from L5 103 toLIO. Store sheep — There are enquiries for good store wethers and mired Loggers ,- the following sales have transpired, 6000 hoggetts at 11s per pair, and 3000 2,. i, and 6-tootn wethers at 6s 6d each. In the absence of any fresh stock coming to hand, no sales have been held. A draft of useful light, horses would meet a ready market at fair pricea.
