All protests to be lodged with the Stewards "Within half an. hour after the race is run. Every protest to be accompanied with a deposit of £1 Is., which shall be forfeited to the Race Fund should the protest prove frivolous or ungrounded. 3. Post entry to all races. 4. The winner of one race not allowed to start for another— trotting and hurdle races excepted. 5. All jockeys to ride in colours. 6. The decision of the Stewards to be final in all races. 7. Three horses to run, or no race.

TO TRAVEL THIS SEASON, IN THE TUAPEKA, WAITAHUNA, AND TUAPEEA MOUTH DISTRICTS, YOUNG WALLACE; Is a bright bay, rising 4 years old, stands 16 hands high, has superior bone, good action, and a kind temper. Young Wallace is by Sir William Wallace, imported from Scotland by Mr. R. Miller, and out of a pure-bred Clydesdale mare of Mr. R. Sutherland's. TERMS, £3 35., payable at end of the season ; Groom's Fee, 55., payable at first service. Paddock of 50 acres provided for mares, free of charge. All care taken, but no responsibility.
