John Brook, Manse-street, reports — Wheat and Flour continue to rule at quotations. What effect the Tararua's advices, when to hand, may have is a matter about which a diversity of opinion exists. Oats still continue in good demand at an advanced rate. Oatmeal is not obtainable under the advanced quotations. The prices current are :—: — Flour. — £15 to £15 10s per ton. Oatmeal. — £24 per ton. Pearl Barley. — £26 per ton. Wheat. — 6s to 6s 3d per bushel. Oats. — 4s 3d per bushel. Barley. — 5s 6d per bushel. Maize. — ss. 6d per bußhel. Bran. — £5 per ton. Pollard.— £s 10 per ton. Hay. — £6 per ton. Chaff.— £4 10s per ton. Straw.— £2 10s per ton. j Potatoes. — £3 per ton. J Carrots. — £3 per ton. Turnips. — £3 10s per ton, Eye-grass Seed. — 5s 6d pei* busheL Butter. — Is 2d per lb. Cheese. — Is 2d per lb. Bacon. — 8d per lb. Bags. — 143 per dozen.
