Tiie opening services in connection with the above place of worship, took place on Sunday, 12th September, when two sormona were preached by the Rev. "W. Keall of _ Lawrence, to crowded congregations, ihe collections being over £6. On the following Monday, a tea meeting was held, when about 120 sat down to a splendid repast. Such a tea as would do credit to the ladies of Tuapeka. After tea a public meeting was held, presided over by Mr. E. B. Clarke of Tuapeka. Addresses were delivered by the Eev. W. Keall, and Mr. r ßldxham, Tuapeka, Messrs. Tamblyn, Ireland, "Willgoss, G-lass, and Mervyn, M.H.R., Teviot. l^ot more than half could find room inside ; the remainder having to stand without, which inconvenience was not felt, as it was a beautiful night. a ( .Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs.
