Robert Stewart, James Ainsly, Capt. On last Court day, Mr. R. Stewart held that Mr. Aitkins could not prosecute, he not being an Inspector under the Sheep Ordinance, 1867 ; the Bench agreed with defendant, hence the adjournment from last Court day. The cases being called to-day, Mr. Aitkins withdrew the whole of the charges, together with one charging Alex. M'Nab with depasturing 25,000 sheep on Kingsdale statien, they being infected with the scab. Mr. M'Nab asked if he and his overseer were to be dragged such a distance by a fellow like that and get no expenses. No expenses were allowed.
