MUNICIPAL ELECTION'S.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.)
Slit, — One mglit this week, my curiosity was excited by observing two of our present- councillors in earnest conversation, and this being election time, of course I watched their doings. Upon making enquiry as to their movements, I learnt that their mission was to get up a requisition asking a gentleman to represent the "East "Ward (is there any clique in question for which they want a representative ? ") I think, Mr. Editor, that any gentleman that is in the Council at the present time, should let the respective candidates stand upon their own merits, othei'wise it will appear that men, not measures, that are wanted by those already in the Council. — I am, &c,
Fate Flat.
