THE DUKE'S VISIT.

BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.

(From our Own Correspondent.)

Dunedln"! April 30. .-

The Duke opened the Horticultural Show to-day, and selected the bouquet made by Mrs. Keploe, who was accord-s-ingly declared winner of the first prize. He left this afternoon at 2 p.m. per steamer Peninsula for the Blanche. The Volunteers formed a guard of honour, but there was no ceremony at his embarking. The Duke was loudly cheered. The steamers Wallace and Golden Age followed the Peninsula, and were crowded with passengers. The Artillery Corps fired a parting salute.
