Gold in Wei/Llngton. — A report has been in circulation in town for the last day or two of the discovery of gold at Wai-nui-o-mata, and on enquiry we find that it is not without foundation. The Messrs. Grace have brought in a specimen of gold -bearing quartz, which they say was discovered in that locality, where they are sanguine that a rich reef exists. The specimen, which of course, is taken from the surface, has been submitted to Dr. Hector for realization, and yielded a comparative return' of 13dwts. to the ton.—" Evening Post," March 17. p '
