Labes v. Chow Lo. — Claim £2 10s. for having, by erection of a wing dam, Tuapeka Eiver, injured his claim. The matter having been heard, the defendant was ordered to take down his dam until his application for said 4&m and the objections thereto would be heard. Plaintiff claimed expenses. Costs of court, 65., awarded. Mears v. George Ah Soy. — Claim £5 for not filling up certain holes dug on his freehold property in accordance "with agreement. Case adjourned ; the Warden to inspect the ground before issuing a decision. Wednesday, March 31. Messrs. Labes and Peter, miners, applied for an abandoned water-race in Boss's gully. It appears that one James Hogg had a certificate for same. The witness gave contradictory evidence as to the supply of water and abandonment. Warden gave judgment, the applicants to pay Hogg the aum of 30s, when the certificate would be cancelled.
