"Emperor" will be at Mr. John Robert's, Tuapeka, every Thursday and Friday; at Waitahuna, every alternate Monday ; and at Beaumont fortnightly. "Emporor," rising 4 years old, is a dark chesnut, with great bone and muscular power; sire, "Lincolnshire Hero," imported by R. Q. Kermode, Esq., Mona Vale, Tasmania. " Lincolnshire Hero," bred by Mr. George Finch, Stanthorpe, Lincolnshire, is by "Young Honest John." "Lincolnshire Hero's " dam was by "Old Sampson," the property of Mr. Bryan, Leicestershire. "Old Sampson" took altogether 21 first prizes. " Emperor's " dam, " Flower," by "Tasman," by the imported horse " Champion." "Flower's " dam, " Blossom." " Blossom," out of "Old Bulwer," | by " Lincoln," both imported by the late Dr. Wilmore, of Tasmania. " Emperor " has taken two First Prizes at the Langf ord and Westbury Agricultural Society's Shows, held last year, iv Tasmania, as being the best three-year-old exhibited ; and has proved himself a sure foal-getter. TEE CLYDESDALE ENTIRE HORSE "RISING STAR," TTTILL Travel this season in the MOUNT BENGER DISTRICT. ' c Rising Stab, " is a beautiful dark bay horse, stands seventeen hands high, is seven years old, and was got by that renowned imported horse, " Reformer." Dam, " Flora," a remarkably fine mare, imported. "Reformer," a rich bay with black points, and stands seventeen hands high. He gained the Highland Society's First Prize at Perth, in 1852, as a yearling. In 1856, at Melbourne, the Port Phillip Farmer's Society's First Prize, beating "Clyde" (Mr. J. Wilson's) and four other imported sires. In 1857, at Melbourne, the Port Philip Farmers' Society's First Prize, beating "Clyde" and twentyfive others ; at the same meeting won the Champion Cup, value, £30, as the most perfect animal exhibited. He has also taken a number of local prizes, and his stock have been successful as prizetakers. " Rising Stab " will stand every Monday at Mr. Patrick's Spylaw Hotel, Moa Flat, where good grass paddock accommodation will bo provided, free of charge, for mares from a distance. He will also stand at Mr. John Low's, Coal Creek, every Saturday, and will travel the Teviot and neighbourhood during the other days of the week. " Prince Charlie " is a bright bay, / rising 5 years old, stands 16 hands high, has a remarkably fine temper, and is an excellent worker. Got by old Prince Charlie, imported from Scotland by Messrs. J. and M. Macintosh, Victoria, out of an imported mare, by Blackleg, who has gained many prizes in Dunedin and Taieri open shows. TERMS £3 Groom's Fee, ss.
