As we -have not many official or other visits to this widely-known and greatly appreciated locality at head quarters, beyond the passing of an occasional " yaller belly v and his bamboo, you must forgive me if I bring our domestic matters before you. Mr. Boss, the Presbyterian minister from Clyde, and R. Mnlay, Esq., Mayor of Alexandra, paid us a visit on Saturday last. The rev. gentleman seemed greatly pleased with his visit, and Mr. Finlay also, expressing their regret that our little locality was not more accessible. Mr. Boss was called upon to ' officiate on a very interesting occasion — no less than a wedding. Our much-re-spected neighbour Mr. Robert Ayling and Misi Julinda G. Gibbons having breathed the inspiriting accents of unalloyed affection, mutually agreed to blend their fortunes and enter thetholy state of matrimony. Mr. Ross sealed their destiny in quick sticks. The old arrangements observed on such occasions were fully carried out. The happy couple, after, dining with their friends, drove to theii residence at Coal Creek, amidst a show^ of blessings, good wishes, and old shoes|
