ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Suhmerhill.— Tho Provincial Government of Otugo grant, through their home agent, John Auld, Esq., W. 3., Edinburgh, assisted passages to tbe amount of half the passage money. Forms of application to be obtained from George Andrew, Esq., 60 Princes-street, Edinburgh, and are to be returned to him with a declaration that tho intending immigrant is of good health, and free from mental and bodily defect, and a certificate from a clergyman and a late employer or householder must alt>o bo forwarded to the agent. Persons in tho Province may have their friends brought out by prepayment of £10 per statute adult to Mr. Allau, Immigration Agent, Dnnedin, who will forward passage warrants, through the home agent, to the paities applied for. All who are assisted, if they remove from the Province before the expiry of three years from the landing, will be called on to repay the passage laoney advanced to them ; but this provision is not strictly enforced.
