RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, LAWRENCE.
(Before TV. L. Simpson, Esq., R.M.) Thursday, Ist October. O'Neill v. Tiilly.— Claim £3 15s. This case was adjourned from 21st September, for the purpose of producing a carrier of the name of Grillespie as a witness. Ifc was proved that a summons was served on him, but the bailiff who summoned not being in a position to pay his expenses he refused to attend. At the request of the plaintiff the case was further adjourned for one month for the production of said witness. The adjournment was granted upon plaintiff paying defendant the sum of 20a.
M'Rae v. Eraser. — Claim £5, for alleged damages by pigs. Mr. Campbell, for defendant, applied for a nonsuit, on the groiind that the date on which alleged damago was done was not in plaint ; also that there were no particulars of damage accompanying the summons. Nonsuit granted, plaintiff to pay costs of Court-.
