THE " BRUCE HERALD " AND ITS LAWRENCE CORRESPONDENT.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) g IRj — Having been informed by several well reputed persons that a paragraph, in this week's issue of the " Bruce Herald," headed " Lawrence— From, our own correspondent," is ascribed to me, I wish through your columns, to give that assertion a distinct denial. I think those who know me well will hardly credit me with such a mass of ungrammatical nonsense, and I am a good deal astonished that any should have thought me the author of it. It is very many months since I wrote anything for the " Bruce Herald," and I do not know who is its Lawrence correspondent. — Yours truly, John L. Shadwell Keen. Lawrence, 16th July, 1868.
