BLUNDELL V. ROBERTSON.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) Sir, — I noticed in a late issue of your paper a letter from a subscriber to the Blundell v. Robertson Fund, asking for a financial statement from the committee ; but the writer of that letter, so far as I ha*e noticed, failed to get the required information. It has been mooted that the committee have actually sustained personal loss in Connection with this busineis, and on that account are diffident in laying a statement of matters before the ■übscribers. I would therefore propose that a deputation, consisting of a few of the subscribers, wait upon the treasurer, and ascertain if the above rumor is correct ; and if it is a fact that the money subscribed was insufficient for the purpose, I would decidedly propose that a fresh list be issued; and I have no doubt that many of those gentlemen who previously subscribed "would again add their mite.' The first thing is to ascertain the deficiency, if any, after which we could set to work and get the affair squared up, pats a vote of thanks to the committee for the prompt way in which they performed their duty, and so end the matter.— -I am, &c, A Pirn* StxbsCbibkb to th» Tvxd>
