A CORRECTION.

(To tJie Editor of the Tuapeka Times). Sib, — In your report of a meeting held in Wetherstone3, in your issue of the 25th inst. , 1 am made to say, with reference to Mr. Branigan, that ' ' since ha came to Otago, his moral character has been no better than it should be." Now, I beg to state that no such expression was ever used by me ; for I hold that wo had nothing whatever to do with Mr. Branigan's " morality ; " but simply his con*conduct in reference to Mr. Morton's resignation. . I may state that I know nothing of Mr. Branigan's private character. By inserting this in your nent issue, you will oblige. — I am, &c, Jambs Y. Hsxav. Wetherstones, 30fch April, lSb'B.
